Midland, Michigan (August 23, 2022) \u2013 The Fort Wayne TinCaps lost, 13-2, to the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) at Dow Diamond on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne\u2019s (18-30, 45-69) lone runs came from Agust\u00edn Ruiz. Down 4-0 in the top of the second, Ruiz clubbed his fifth home run of the year, and second in the last four games. The right fielder has five extra-base hits in his last seven contests. His two-run shot made it 4-2.<\/p>\n

The TinCaps produced just five hits, though. Cole Cummings lined a ball to center field before Ruiz\u2019s home run, Anthony Vilar singled to right field in the fourth, and new Fort Wayne center fielder Justin Farmer picked up a pair of knocks in his debut. Farmer was added to the roster today alongside infielders Charlis Aquino and Josttin Diaz.<\/p>\n

Great Lakes (30-19, 70-45) dominated, however, due to the long ball. Jose Ramos hit a three-run homer as part of the Loons four-run first. Then, Eddys Leonard and Imanol Vargas went deep three batters apart in the third to build a 7-2 Great Lakes\u2019 lead after three innings.<\/p>\n
