The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for the public\u2019s help in locating Brandon Tyrone Vershon Pearson, a 28-year-old black male.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Police Department incident report:<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Indiana (July 10, 2025) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for the public\u2019s help in locating Brandon Tyrone Vershon Pearson, a 28-year-old black male. Pearson was the driver of a vehicle that fled from police in April of this year leading to a vehicle pursuit and culminating in a crash that killed Jamela Hathaway<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pearson currently has active warrants for the following because of this incident.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Resisting Law Enforcement fleeing in a vehicle causing death \u2013 Level 3 Felony<\/li>\n
  2. Operating while intoxicated causing death – Level 4 Felony<\/li>\n
  3. Reckless homicide \u2013 Level 5 Felony<\/li>\n
  4. Driving While Suspended resulting in death \u2013 Level 5 Felony<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Additionally, Pearson has an unrelated warrant for Neglect of a Dependent Causing Serious Bodily Injury a Level 5 Felony.<\/p>\n
