The City of Fort Wayne\u2019s Public Works Division today announced that beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the intersection of East State Boulevard and Maplecrest Road will be closed to through traffic.<\/p>\n

City announces closure of major intersection in northeast quadrant<\/strong>
\nWork is part of East State Boulevard concrete rehabilitation project<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 27, 2023) \u2013 The City of Fort Wayne\u2019s Public Works Division today announced that beginning Wednesday, July 5, the intersection of East State Boulevard and Maplecrest Road will be closed to through traffic.<\/p>\n

This closure is needed to complete a City of Fort Wayne transportation project \u2013 East State Boulevard concrete rehabilitation from Reed to Maplecrest roads.<\/p>\n

Brooks Construction will be overseeing the work. Weather permitting, it\u2019s anticipated that the intersection will be reopened by August 9.<\/p>\n

Brooks Construction crews will be responsible for the placement and maintenance of all construction signs and barricades in the work zone. There will be a marked detour using Trier Road, Reed Road, Lake Avenue, and Maysville Road.<\/p>\n

This year, the City is investing a record $48.3 million in neighborhood infrastructure improvements. Since 2014, more than $250 million has been invested in neighborhood public works enhancements.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
