Weisser Park celebrates the arts<\/strong><\/p>\n

The community is invited to celebrate the arts with the students of Weisser Park Arts Magnet School.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This annual event features students in grades 1-5 performing in a variety of concerts throughout the day. String students will kick-off the day with their concert at 9 a.m. Weisser Park bands will play at 11 a.m. followed by a concert featuring chimes, mime and musical theater at 12:45 p.m. A piano recital featuring nearly 175 piano students in grades 2-5 will take place at 1:45 p.m., and a dance presentation will follow at 3:30 p.m. All Weisser Park first and second grade students have a dance and drama presentation at 4:15 p.m., and the Weisser Park choirs will close the day with a concert at 5:30 p.m. Hands-on art activities will be available for children from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the circle the drive with live music from the Larry Ford Trio from noon-2 p.m. Concessions will be sold throughout the day courtesy of the South Side Fine Arts Boosters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
