The City of Fort Wayne\u2019s Public Works Division is moving forward with a proactive neighborhood resurfacing plan for 2025.<\/p>\n

Public Works Division\u2019s proactive neighborhood resurfacing plan for 2025 receives approval<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 14, 2025) \u2013 The City of Fort Wayne\u2019s Public Works Division is moving forward with a proactive neighborhood resurfacing plan for 2025. The improvement packages for the four quadrants in the City have received final approval from the Board of Public Works and City Council. The resurfacing packages total $5.2 million.<\/p>\n

The resurfacing work is part of the City\u2019s overall plan of $41.4 million in neighborhood infrastructure projects this year. Since 2014 in partnership with City Council, the City has invested more than $382 million in neighborhood infrastructure enhancements.<\/p>\n

Packages approved by the Board of Public Works and City Council:<\/p>\n

Northwest; Wayne Asphalt; $1.639 million<\/p>\n

Northeast; E&B Paving; $1.583 million<\/p>\n

Southeast; Brooks Construction; $1.316 million<\/p>\n

Southwest; E&B Paving; $720,635 \u2013 This investment figure doesn\u2019t factor in the resurfacing project on Illinois Road from Jefferson Boulevard to Magnavox Way as part of the Illinois Road Trail project.<\/p>\n

\u201cNeighborhoods and people continue to be a top priority as I\u2019ve long been an advocate for the work overseen by the Public Works Division,\u201d said Mayor Sharon Tucker. \u201cA safe and efficient transportation system and infrastructure improvements that serve all users set us apart as a leading community that\u2019s desired by individuals, families, and businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n
