This section from Creighton to East Pontiac is one of the proposed improvements and includes removing and replacing existing sidewalks, including adding to the Greenways network by creating an eight-foot-wide trail on the west side of the road. Five-foot wide sidewalks will be built on the east side. Traffic lanes will be narrowed to accommodate the trail and sidewalks, as well as slow vehicle speeds. New pedestrian lighting will be added to increase safety and aesthetics, and new asphalt and pavement markings will be included.
