Library Event Library Event Aims to Solve Mystery of Abraham Lincoln\u2019s Missing Brain<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 11, 2025) \u2013 The Allen County Public Library invites history enthusiasts, Lincoln scholars, and curious minds to a captivating presentation that dives deep into one of the most fascinating stories in American history. On Wednesday, April 16, at 2 p.m. ET, Lincoln at the Library will present \u201cLincoln Postmortem: Abraham Lincoln\u2019s Cranial Autopsy and the Mystery of his Illustrious Brain,\u201d an insightful lecture by Lee D. Eutsey.<\/p>\n

In this special program, Eutsey will explore the fascinating and long-unsolved mystery of the fate of President Abraham Lincoln\u2019s brain following his tragic assassination on April 14, 1865. Just hours after Lincoln was shot, Army surgeons performed a cranial autopsy to remove the bullet that had shattered his skull. But what happened to the most famous brain in American history remains shrouded in intrigue and unanswered questions that have persisted for more than 150 years.<\/p>\n

Eutsey will present his original research, shedding new light on the disappearance and the bizarre twists surrounding the journey of Lincoln\u2019s brain after his death. This event offers a rare opportunity to explore an often-overlooked chapter in Lincoln\u2019s legacy through the eyes of a dedicated researcher with deep insights into this historical enigma.<\/p>\n
