The City of Fort Wayne is offering sand and sandbags at the Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant beginning today for residents concerned about flooding on their property.<\/p>\n

Sandbags available for residents concerned about flooding on their property<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 4, 2025) \u2013 The City of Fort Wayne is offering sand and sandbags at the Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant beginning today at 1:00 p.m. for residents concerned about flooding on their property. The public access portion of the Water Filtration Plant is located at 500 Baltes Avenue, just over the Lafayette\/Spy Run bridge. Citizens are required to bring their own shovels to fill the bags.<\/p>\n

The City of Fort Wayne Flood Control Department is continuing to monitor the river levels which are projected to crest at approximately the top of only minor flood levels. As a precautionary measure, the Greenwood Avenue gate entrance into Swinney Park has been closed to prevent possible flooding in nearby neighborhoods. <\/p>\n

The City of Fort Wayne reminds drivers to \u201cTurn Around Don\u2019t Drown\u201d when encountering flooded roadways.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
