This view from the Lincoln Tower Observation Deck taken August 28th 2008.\" rel=\"lightbox[hs829]\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/59649.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/t59649.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Work on the playing field has begun.\u00c2\u00a0 Currently, the drainage system is being installed.\u00c2\u00a0 According to Jim Iddins, Weigand Construction Manager, the turf for the field will probably be installed at the end of October.\u00c2\u00a0 Jim stated that the project is proceeding as expected and seemed pleased with it&#8217;s progress.<\/p>\n<p>Also on my way to the Harrison Square project area, I ran into Greg Leatherman, Executive Director of the Redevelopment Department.\u00c2\u00a0 He said an announcement should be forthcoming from Barry Real Estate regarding the new marketing plan on Tuesday.\u00c2\u00a0 A press conference had initially been planned, but it\u00c2\u00a0looks like a press release will take place instead.<\/p>\n<p>I forgot to mention earlier in the week that Tom Didier, President of the Fort Wayne City Council asked for another Harrison Square\u00c2\u00a0update to be presented to City Council in the coming weeks.\u00c2\u00a0 Ozzie Mitson, Public Information Officer with the City, was sitting behind me in the Council Chambers, so I would expect something soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a title=\"Installation of the drainage system for the field has begun.
