Fort Wayne Sport Club to host garage sale fundraiser<\/strong>
\nProceed Benefit Club\u2019s Operating Costs and Capital Improvement Fund<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 11, 2025) \u2013 The 15th annual Fort Wayne Sport Club Community Garage Sale Fundraiser will take place on Friday & Saturday, March 7th & 8th at Fort Wayne Sport Club\u2019s own Clubhouse located at 3102 Ardmore Avenue in Fort Wayne. The proceeds from the sale will benefit Club improvement projects and help to cover off season operating costs.<\/p>\n

Plan to shop at the Garage Sale Fundraiser and you may just find that treasure you\u2019ve always been looking for. Hours of operation will be from 9:00 a.m. \u2013 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, although the Club reserves the right to close early on Saturday if all of the merchandise has disappeared. Come out early to catch the best deals. There are plenty of items to choose from including housewares, furniture, tools, clothing, children\u2019s items and, of course, soccer stuff!<\/p>\n

The Fort Wayne Sport Club Ladies\u2019 will present a Bake Sale in conjunction with the Garage Sale featuring home-baked cookies and other baked goods.<\/p>\n

The Fort Wayne Sport Club was founded in 1927 by an active group of soccer players who immigrated to the Fort Wayne area from Germany in the aftermath of World War I. Their immediate goal was \u2018the promotion of football (soccer) and German culture\u2019 in the Northeast Indiana area. Today, the Fort Wayne Sport Club is a hub of soccer activity, with programs for recreational and competitive soccer players from age 4-years to 30-and-over. \u201cWe are extremely proud of our long history and heritage of encouraging participation in soccer at all levels throughout the area,\u201d stated Dan Kruse, President of Fort Wayne Sport Club. The Fort Wayne Sport Club is a member of Indiana Soccer, which is the state-wide representative of US Youth Soccer, US Adult Soccer and US Soccer. Since 1992, 112 people have been inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame. Now, nine of those 112 are Fort Wayne Sport Club members, still the most from any club in the state.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
