One-hour delay for FWCS elementary schools on May 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Community Schools’ elementary schools, with the exception of Bunche and Towles, will have a scheduled one-hour delay day Wednesday, May 12. Buses will run one hour later than normally scheduled for grades k-5 with school beginning at 9:50 a.m.<\/p>\n

Morning pre-k students will attend from 9:50-11:30 a.m., arriving one-hour late with grades k-5 and leaving at their normal time.<\/p>\n

Breakfast will be served when students arrive, and after-school programs will operate on their regular schedules. Parents should check with their school for morning activity schedules on delay days.<\/p>\n

The six planned delay days for the 2009-10 school year provide valuable professional development time for staff. This is the final delay day for 2009-10.<\/p>\n

If there is a two-hour weather delay, that supersedes the professional development one-hour delay.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
