Fort Wayne Sport Club continues to host monthly fish fries<\/strong>
\nTraditional German Activity Endures Through the Winter<\/em><\/p>\nFort Wayne, Indiana (December 31, 2024) \u2013 A Fish Fry will be held in Fort Wayne on Friday, January 24th, starting at 4:30 p.m. Fort Wayne Sport Club, located at 3102 Ardmore Ave in Fort Wayne, will host the event.<\/p>\n
Come join in on the fun and enjoy the first fish dinner in 2025. The Fish Fry will again continue the German dining tradition at Fort Wayne Sport Club. The cost is $14 for adults and $8 for children ages 6 to 10. Children, aged 5-and-under, eat for free.<\/p>\n
The delectable dinner includes a generous portion of fish, baked or scalloped potatoes, coleslaw, applesauce, roll and butter as well as dessert, all made fresh by members of the Sport Club.<\/p>\n
Great draft beers are also available at the Fort Wayne Sport Club bar including Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, Weihenstephan, Hofbrau Dunkel, Hofbrau Oktoberfest, Franzishaner Weissbier, Spaten, Kona Big Wave, Hop River Lazers in the Jungle IPA and Modelo Especial, (all subject to change). Many fine bottled beers are also available at the full-service bar.<\/p>\n
Fish Fries are then traditionally held at Fort Wayne Sport Club on the 4th Friday of each month throughout the season. Don\u2019t forget to mark your calendar for when the Fish Fry resumes on Friday, February 28th. Fish Fries will then continue in March of 2025 with the final Fish Fry of the season on Good Friday, April 18th, 2025.<\/p>\n
The Fort Wayne Sport Club was founded in 1927 by an active group of soccer players who immigrated to the Fort Wayne area from Germany in the aftermath of World War I. Their immediate goal was \u2018the promotion of football (soccer) and German culture\u2019 in the Northeast Indiana area. Today, the Fort Wayne Sport Club is a hub of soccer activity, with programs for recreational and competitive soccer players from age 4-years to 30-and-over. \u201cWe are extremely proud of our long history and heritage of encouraging participation in soccer at all levels throughout the area,\u201d stated Dan Kruse, President of Fort Wayne Sport Club. The Fort Wayne Sport Club is a member of Indiana Soccer, which is the state-wide representative of US Youth Soccer, US Adult Soccer and US Soccer. Since 1992, 112 people have been inducted into the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame. Now, nine of those 112 are Fort Wayne Sport Club members, still the most from any club in the state.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
