Rain and snow melt upstream of Fort Wayne, bringing varying organic compounds into our rivers, which can cause a difference in our water&#8217;s taste and sometimes odor. These changes occur naturally nearly every year in Fort Wayne and across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Some individuals may have recently noticed a slight difference in water taste and smell, but residents can be assured that our water is safe to drink.<\/p>\n<p>Our chemists at the Three Rivers Water Filtration Plant monitor and test the water multiple times a day.
