On August 2, 2024, at 17:40 hours, FWPD Officers responded to the area of 1100 West Fourth Street, in reference to a shooting that had just occurred.<\/p>\n

Location<\/strong>: 1100 block of West Fourth Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana<\/p>\n

Time<\/strong>:17:40 hours<\/p>\n

Details\/Summary<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

On August 2, 2024 at approximately 5:40pm, FWPD Officers responded to the area of 1100 W Fourth Street, in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. Officers arrived and found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics advised the male to be in life threatening condition and transported to a local hospital, where the victim succumbed to the injuries. No suspect is in custody at this moment.<\/p>\n

At this time there is no on-going threat to public safety. This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s Office.
