Traffic Alert: Spring Street<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 3, 2024) – Beginning Thursday, September 5, 2024, crews will begin connecting residents to a new water main on Spring Street. The work will close Spring to through traffic between Hillegas Road and Sherman Boulevard.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A daytime detour, between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, will use West State Boulevard, Hillegas, and Sherman will be in place through October 17, 2024. Spring will be open to traffic after 6:00 pm until the following day.<\/p>\n

Residents in the area will have limited access, but there will be no street parking between St. Marys and Schilling Avenue during construction.<\/p>\n

This summer, crews replaced a water main that was more than 100 years old and placed in service in 1910. The work will also help residents with a lead service line on their property to replace it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
