Today, the ISDH announced that it has extended its COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway into December 2021.<\/p>\n

ISDH extends IMS COVID-19 vaccination and testing clinic<\/strong><\/p>\n

Indianapolis, Indiana (November 10, 2021) \u2014 The Indiana Department of Health announced today that it has extended its COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway into December and has added appointments each day to ensure that individuals who received a first dose at the site can receive their second dose at the same location.<\/p>\n

The clinic is being held in the INDYCAR parking lot at 4551 W. 16th St., Indianapolis, across from Gate 2. It offers the two-dose Pfizer pediatric and adult vaccines, as well as the two-dose Moderna and single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines.<\/p>\n

Vaccinations and testing are being offered on the following schedule:<\/p>\n

Today-Nov. 20<\/strong>:
\nTuesday-Friday, 4-8 p.m.
\nSaturdays, 9 a.m.-noon<\/p>\n

Nov. 30-Dec. 11<\/strong>:
\nTuesday-Friday, 4-8 p.m.
\nSaturdays, 8 a.m.-noon<\/p>\n

Dec. 14-22<\/strong>:
\nDec. 14-17, noon-8 p.m.
\nDec. 18-19, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
\nDec. 20-22, noon-8 p.m.<\/ul>\n

\u201cThe Indianapolis Motor Speedway clinic has been a popular site for parents who are eager to get their children vaccinated, and we want to make returning for that second dose as convenient as possible,\u201d said State Health Commissioner Kris Box, M.D., FACOG. \u201cWe are grateful to the Speedway for allowing us to extend our stay once again and encourage Hoosiers to make an appointment today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since late September, more than 15,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, including more than 1,500 pediatric doses, have been administered at the IMS clinic, along with more than 6,600 COVID-19 tests and more than 2,200 flu shots.<\/p>\n

COVID-19 vaccines are available to Hoosiers age 5 and older, and boosters are approved for eligible individuals age 18 and older. Hoosiers can make a vaccination appointment for the IMS site at https:\/\/www.coronavirus.in.gov\/vaccine\/<\/a> by searching for ZIP code 46222. Individuals under age 18 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine. Parents seeking pediatric doses for children ages 5 to 11 should verify that birthdates are entered correctly when registering to ensure that a Pfizer pediatric dose is available.<\/p>\n

To pre-register for a COVID-19 test at the site, visit https:\/\/www.coronavirus.in.gov\/<\/a> and click on the testing link at the top of the page, then search for the IMS site.<\/p>\n

Individuals who visit the site for a vaccine or COVID-19 testing also can receive a flu vaccination while supplies last; individuals aged 65 and older who need a high-dose flu vaccine should contact their healthcare provider.<\/p>\n

No appointments are required for flu vaccinations, which will be available for individuals regardless of insurance status. However, all applicable insurance coverage will be billed for seasonal influenza vaccine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
