The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, selected four players in Saturday’s NBA G League Draft.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Mad Ants make four selections in NBA G League Draft<\/strong>
\nG League alum Gabe York is Fort Wayne’s first round selection<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 23, 2021) \u2013 The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, selected four players in Saturday’s NBA G League Draft.<\/p>\n

With the third pick of the first round, the Mad Ants selected Gabe York, who last played in the Israeli Premier League with Hapoel Tel Aviv. York is a G League alum has played for the Lakeland Magic and Erie Bayhawks while also playing overseas in Italy, Germany and Greece. York was the NBA G League Sportsmanship Award winner in 2019 while with Lakeland.<\/p>\n

York was 2nd Team All-Pac 12 in 2016 as a senior at the University of Arizona. York played 120 games in four seasons with Arizona, averaging 8.9 points over that stretch. York averaged 14.4 points per game during his senior season.<\/p>\n

In the second round, the Mad Ants selected 12th where they took Ian DuBose (40th overall) and 18th where they selected Jordan Allen (46th overall).<\/p>\n

DuBose played in 2020-2021 at Wake Forest as a graduate student. Prior to that, he played three seasons at Houston Baptist. In his final season at HBU, he averaged 19 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Allen finished his college career at Division II Lynn College, where as a junior, he was the NCAA DII statistical champion for three-pointers made per game (3.88).<\/p>\n

In the third round, the Mad Ants made their final pick 59th overall, third of the round, selecting Will Vorhees. Vorhees last played in Mexico for Abejas De Leon and spent his college years at Notre Dame College in Ohio.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Mad Ants training camp will begin on Monday, October 25 and run through November 3. Opening night for the Mad Ants will be Saturday, November 6 against Windy City at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.<\/p>\n
