Strong to severe storms possible tonight and Wednesday<\/strong>
\nHigh heat\/humidity help fuel the potential for severe weather this week<\/em><\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 10, 2021) – Severe weather chances continue to be a possibility tonight heading into Wednesday. The SPC outlooks appear very similar, however, the hazards and timing are different. Tonight, isolated storms are possible before sunset, but the best chances for severe weather are between 9 PM to 4 AM. The greatest hazards are expected to be damaging wind gusts and heavy rain, which could lead to localized flash flooding. Tomorrow, timing depends on the setup in the morning. If we can get enough sunshine, along with the high heat and humidity during the day, that means chances would become more conducive for severe weather in the late afternoon and evening on Wednesday. The main threats on Wednesday would be damaging winds, small hail, and heavy rain, although an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. For both severe weather risks, confidence is low at this time.
