Illuminating Night for Allen County Courthouse<\/strong>
\nHistoric structure to be lit Thursday as part of DID event<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The historic Allen County Courthouse will have the chance to shine – literally – during a special downtown Fort Wayne event Thursday night.<\/p>\n

The evening of April 8 has been dubbed “Bright Night” by the Downtown Improvement District. It coincides with opening night for the Fort Wayne TinCaps at Parkview Field. To celebrate, the DID is asking businesses to keep all of their lights on in an effort to let visitors see downtown in a new light.<\/p>\n

As part of the event, the exterior lights which point to the upper portion of the Courthouse will remain on through the evening – offering a rare opportunity for photographers and others to see the Courthouse dome and Lady Liberty illuminated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
