{"id":106879,"date":"2021-06-02T09:55:43","date_gmt":"2021-06-02T13:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/?p=106879"},"modified":"2021-06-02T13:30:02","modified_gmt":"2021-06-02T17:30:02","slug":"tincaps-increase-game-capacity-to-40-percent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/2021\/06\/02\/tincaps-increase-game-capacity-to-40-percent\/","title":{"rendered":"TinCaps increase game capacity to 40%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/TinCaps_newest_side_logo-1.jpg\" alt=\"game capacity\" width=\"700\" height=\"400\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-79057\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/TinCaps_newest_side_logo-1.jpg 700w, https:\/\/aroundfortwayne.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/TinCaps_newest_side_logo-1-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Fort Wayne TinCaps have increased their game capacity attendance to 40% per game.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>TinCaps Lay Out Plans for Increasing Capacity &#038; Modified Guidelines at Parkview Field<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Masks Are Encouraged, But No Longer Required for Fans Outdoors<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 18, 2021) \u2014 After receiving updated guidance from both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Major League Baseball (MLB) late last week, the TinCaps have modified Parkview Field\u2019s health and safety protocols, and also have plans for increasing the ballpark\u2019s seating capacity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parkview Field Mask Policy<\/strong> <em>(Effective Immediately)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Guests at Parkview Field are encouraged to wear masks, but masks will no longer be required in any open-air spaces within Parkview Field.<\/li>\n<li>Guests who haven\u2019t been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 yet are required to wear a mask while in any indoor area of Parkview Field, including the TinCaps Front Office, the Suite Level Lounge, The Orchard Team Store, and restroom facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Parkview Field staff and personnel will continue to wear masks during events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Parkview Field Seating Capacity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Effective June 1, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall ballpark capacity will increase to approximately 40% (currently 30%).<\/li>\n<li>Parkview Field\u2019s Legacy, Club, and All-Star seating areas will remain available only in socially distanced seating pods.<\/li>\n<li>Parkview Field\u2019s three (3) Reserved seating sections will increase to 100% capacity for TinCaps games beginning on this date.<\/li>\n<li>Parkview Field\u2019s Field Box area will increase to 100% capacity beginning on this date.<\/li>\n<li>Parkview Field\u2019s Suites will increase to 100% capacity beginning on this date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Effective June 29, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall Parkview Field seating capacity will increase to approximately 60-70%.<\/li>\n<li>Parkview Field\u2019s Legacy, Club, and All-Star seating areas will increase capacity to near 100%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Parkview Field\u2019s capacity is expected to increase incrementally as the TinCaps\u2019 season continues through September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIncreasing capacity is not as easy as just flipping a switch,\u201d said TinCaps Team President Mike Nutter. \u201cWe\u2019re applying the same amount and level of care to increasing the number of guests we can welcome to the ballpark as we did when we originally created our plan to start the season.
