All presenting donors during the American Red Cross Life is Sweet Blood Drive will receive a Cookie Cottage cookie and will be entered into a drawing to win one of two pairs of tickets to the Martina McBride\/Trace Adkins concert on Feb. 25 at the Memorial Coliseum.  Concert tickets are compliments of U.S. 93.3.<\/p>\n<p>The Life is Sweet Blood Drive will take place at two convenient locations in Fort Wayne from Friday, Feb. 19 until Tuesday, Feb. 23.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fort Wayne Donor Center<\/strong>: 1212 E. And while the need for blood is constant, blood donations can sometimes slump. Collecting blood during the winter, for instance, often presents a challenge since cold and snowy weather can prevent donors from making and keeping appointments.<\/p>\n<p>You can help save lives and enjoy sweet treats at this year&#8217;s Life is Sweet Blood Drive. Make your blood or platelet donation appointment today!<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Donate Blood<\/strong><br \/>\nTo schedule an appointment to donate please call 1 -800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redcrossblood.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">redcrossblood.org<\/a> for more information. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.  Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the American Red Cross<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Indiana-Ohio Blood Services Region serves northern and central Indiana and northwestern Ohio, and needs to collect about 500 units of blood a day to meet patient need in more than 60 hospitals.
