SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA LATE MONDAY NIGHT AND MAY BECOME HEAVY ON TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY THE LOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY AND SHIFT TO THE EAST COAST. THIS WILL RESULT IN SNOW TAPERING OFF TO SNOW SHOWERS ACROSS THE AREA BY WEDNESDAY&#8230;WITH GREATEST COVERAGE OVER NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF THE AREA DUE TO LAKE MICHIGAN ENHANCEMENT. STRONG NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY IS EXPECTED TO RESULT IN BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE NEWLY FALLEN SNOW. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM THIS STORM ARE EXPECTED TO BE 6 TO 9\u00c2\u00a0INCHES SOUTH OF A ROCHESTER TO DEFIANCE LINE&#8230;WITH 9 TO 12 INCHES TO THE NORTH.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH&#8230;WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>TIMING&#8230;SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA LATE MONDAY NIGHT AND BECOME HEAVY ON TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW SHOULD TAPER TO SNOW SHOWERS ON WEDNESDAY WITH SNOW SHOWERS MOST   NUMEROUS OVER NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF THE WATCH AREA. NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY&#8230; CAUSING BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.<\/li>\n<li>MAIN IMPACT&#8230;SNOW WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING. BY LATE TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY&#8230;BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW MAY CAUSE WHITEOUTS AND SOME ROADS IN THE AREA TO BECOME IMPASSABLE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PRECAUTIONARY\/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW&#8230;SLEET&#8230;OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.
