A calendar event from the Northeast Indiana Water Trails – the 5th Annual Pedal, Paddle, Play.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 13, 2021) – This year\u2019s event will include a scavenger hunt on the downtown rivers and trails; we\u2019ll have a variety of prizes available to registered participants, with live music and refreshments available at the park. This year\u2019s Pedal, Paddle, Play offers event participants the chance to explore Northeast Indiana\u2019s land and water trails at their own pace, all while maintaining a safe social distance from the crowds of our typical event. Current circumstances have changed the way we’re living our daily lives, but the trails still call- Pedal, Paddle, Play is your chance to get out and discover something new, contribute to fund-raising efforts to improve access to outdoor recreation on our region\u2019s waterways, and have the chance to win some great prizes, including a complete kayak package donated by Fort Wayne Outfitters and Bike Depot!<\/p>\n

Between May 9 and July 15, registered participants are challenged to snap a selfie or photo of a friend with the Northeast Indiana Water Trails logo in view (print it, screenshot it, draw it, wear it!) while traveling the area\u2019s land and water trails. All that\u2019s left is to post your photos to NEIWT\u2019s Instagram (@neiwatertrails) or Facebook page with the #pedalpaddleplay2020 hashtag…and mention the trail or waterway where the photo was taken. Each post will give the registrant a ticket (up to a maximum of six per each paid registrant) to be entered into the famous Pedal, Paddle, Play prize drawing!<\/p>\n

For the safety of all our pedaling and paddling friends, the prize drawing will take place at 1PM on Saturday, July 18th via Facebook Live. All tickets will be entered into a general drawing; winners will be randomly selected for each prize as they are announced. Participants need not be present to win.<\/p>\n

So here are the steps for your chance to win at the Pedal, Paddle, Play 2020:<\/p>\n

  1. Register! (6) tickets maximum per each paid registration (http:\/\/getmeregistered.com\/3RFCUpedalpaddleplay<\/a>).<\/li>\n
  2. Pedal or Paddle! Get out there on the trails with your family and friends<\/li>\n
  3. Post to Instagram or Facebook by July 15th! Be sure to tag Northeast Indiana Water Trails, and use the #pedalpaddleplay2020 hashtag and let everyone know where you were<\/li>\n
  4. Tune into the prize drawing on Facebook Live at 1pm on July 18th (we will contact you by July 19th if you are a winner)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Registration is only $20 solo or $35 per pair, and includes an event t-shirt (t-shirts will be available beginning June 1st for pick-up at either Fort Wayne Outfitters and Bike Depot, 1004 Cass Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana; or Trading Post Canoe, Kayak & Campground, 7525 East 300 N, Howe, Indiana; or by mail for an additional fee).<\/p>\n

    The purpose of this event is to encourage the exploration of the water and land trails in NE Indiana, and raise funds for the Northeast Indiana Water Trails to improve access to outdoor recreation on our waterways throughout Northeast Indiana. Funds raised this year will be used to continue the Trail Head sign program for the 87 boat access sites on flowing waters in NE Indiana.<\/p>\n
