This post is based on a news release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Fort Wayne Fire Department units responded to a report of smoke from Franke Plating at 2109 East Washington Boulevard at 12:52 am. Upon arrival, first crews determined that Franke Plating was the source of the fire and smoke.<\/p>\n

Firefighters took action to extinguish the fire and make sure that no one was still inside. Crews battled the fire for over 2 1\/2 hours before gaining control. The roof collapsed over a portion of the structure, limiting access to areas that continued to burn. No injuries were reported during the fire.<\/p>\n

The cause is still under investigation at this time.<\/p>\n

The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority assisted the Fort Wayne Fire Department, Fort Wayne Police Department, Indiana Michigan Power, NIPSCO, City of Fort Wayne Utility Person, and Department of Homeland Security.<\/p>\n
