Details/Summary:
On 1/4/2025 the Fort Wayne Homicide Unit was paged out to conduct the criminal investigation into the homicide of 48yo Anthony Wamue that occurred at in the 200 block of W. Superior Street. On Monday, January 6th, 2025, at 1639 hours, 23yo Lamont Cooley was taken into custody in the 400 block W. Washington Blvd for the murder of Anthony Wamue. Lamont Cooley was transported to the Allen County Jail for one count of murder. The Fort Wayne Homicide Unit was assisted in the investigation by the Gang and Violent Crime Unit, the Vice and Narcotics Division, the Aerial Support Unit, the Downtown Patrol Unit, and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
