On Friday, November 1, 2024 at approximately 12:40PM, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to shots fired in the 3500 block of S Lafayette St. Upon arrival to the area, witnesses advised officers they observed an individual fleeing the area after hearing the gunshots.
While officers were canvassing the area, FWPD received report of a male, juvenile, suffering from gunshot wounds, arriving at a local hospital. Medical professionals determined the juvenile’s injuries were critical, but non-life-threatening.
This incident remains an active investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
