Details/Summary:
On 10/30/2024, at approximately 1:38 am, FWPD officers responded to the Wendy’s restaurant at 1021 S Clinton St in reference to a shooting. Dispatch advised that someone had been shot inside of the restaurant and that the suspect had left the scene.
FWPD officers arrived and began rendering care to an adult male victim who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim.
The victim advised that he was an employee at Wendy’s but stated that he did not know who had shot him. Other employees advised that the shots came from outside in the parking lot on the south side of the building.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in non life-threatening condition.
