On October 26, 2024, at 12:41 am, the FWPD received an iPhone alert stating the owner had possibly been in a severe vehicle accident in the area of Scott and Covington Roads.

Details/Summary:
On Oct 26th 2024 at approximately 12:41am, FWPD received an iPhone alert stating the owner had possibly been in a severe vehicle accident in the area of Scott Rd and Covington Rd. Upon FWPD arrival in the area, Officers located a vehicle approximately 60 yards off the roadway. Medics and FWFD were called to the scene as medical assistance was rendered. The sole occupant male driver was transported to a local hospital with hospital with life threatening injuries.
It is believed the vehicle was traveling south on Scott Rd when it left the roadway at the intersection for an unknown reason. The incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department’s FACT.
