History Center Announces November Programming

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 16, 2024) – Join us on November 2nd and 3rd as we wrap up our Miami Indian Heritage Days season and November 3rd as we continue with the George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series.

Our Miami Indian Heritage Days programming concludes with Traders Days on Saturday, November 2nd from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, November 3rd, from 12pm to 4pm at the Chief Richardville House, 5705 Bluffton Road. Shop for traditional crafts, goods and wares, and enjoy hands-on demonstrations and interactive educational programs. Traders Days is free and open to the public.

The History Center continues the 2024-2025 George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series, Sunday, November 3rd, at the History Center, 302 East Berry Street, Fort Wayne. “A Cautionary Tale of ‘Truth’ In Legislation” will be presented by Andrew Downs. The lecture will discuss how people have many opportunities to suggest new laws to Indiana’s part-time legislature. This is the story of one of those times that did not go well, but still worked out in the end.

The lecture begins at 2 PM and admission is free to the public.

All George R. Mather lectures are made possible through the generous support of the Floyd and Betty Lou Lancia Family Foundation and Indiana Humanities.
