Details/Summary:

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating two individuals being shot in the 6800 block of Selkirk Dr. Officers responded at approximately 12:30 pm to a report of an individual being shot during a verbal altercation. Initially reports indicated only one gunshot was heard. Officers arrived to locate a female and a male both suffering from a gunshot wound. The exact relationship between the male and female is still being investigated. Officers provided medical aid for both subjects until medical personnel arrived on-scene and took over care. Both subjects were transported to an area hospital. Doctors at the hospital determined the female’s injury was life-threatening while the male’s injury was non-life threatening.

Currently there is no threat to public safety.
