  • Habitual traffic violator – Lifetime (Level 5 felony)
  • Operating while intoxicated (A misdemeanor)

Details/Summary:

Sunday, October 6th, 2024, around 7:50 p.m., officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to a personal injury accident located at the intersection of North Clinton Street and Parnell Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered that a truck and a sedan were involved. It appears that the sedan was traveling southbound on North Clinton Street failed to yield, turned left onto Parnell Avenue, and collided with the truck as it traveled northbound. The truck then struck a traffic light pole. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hospital where that person’s medical condition was assessed as critical. It is suspected that alcohol was a contributing factor.

There is a person in custody, however, at the time of this release, charges have not been determined. This incident is also being investigated by the FWPD’s FACT, Air Support Unit, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
