Details/Summary:
On October 4, 2024, at approximately 1750 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department located a shooting victim in the 400 block of Dalman Avenue who was identified as Angel Maldonado, 23 years old. The victim was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
FWPD Homicide Detectives arrived on-scene and conducted a criminal investigation. A 16yo male juvenile was identified as a suspect, and he was taken into custody in the 400 block of Eckart St without incident.
The 16yo male juvenile is currently being held at the Allen County Juvenile Center on preliminary charges of Murder, Felony Murder and Attempted Robbery. The FWPD Homicide Unit was assisted on this investigation by the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit, Uniform Officers and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
