The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a death that occurred in the 4400 block of Winter St in the early morning of August 26, 2024. The police responded just before 6:00am to a report a of a male being shot in a yard in the 4400 block of Winter St. Officers arrived to locate a male that appeared to be shot and in critical condition from his injuries. Medics arrived on-scene and pronounced the male deceased.
Officers and detectives began to canvas the area for evidence and interview witnesses. The Fort Wayne Police Department requests residences in the surrounding area check their doorbell cameras and security cameras for any video just prior to and just after 6:00am that appears to be related to the death investigation or suspicious activity.
