On August 7, 2024, at 18:49 hours, the FWPD received a call regarding a suicidal subject residing in a home on the 7500 block of Bojrab Drive.

Details/Summary:
On August 7, 2024, at approximately 6:49pm, FWPD received a call regarding a suicidal subject residing in a home on the 7500 block of Bojrab Drive. The subject was making numerous threats of self-harm by a firearm. Officers arrived at the residence and the subject refused to come out and barricaded himself inside the home. Multiple attempts were made to compel the subject to come out voluntarily but were refused. The subject was the only one inside the home at the time.
An Emergency Service Team, Crisis Response Team, and Air Support Unit page was sent. After numerous attempts failed to get the subject to come out voluntarily.
The subject then exited the residence, at approximately 11:00pm, once a chemical agent was released inside the home by EST. The subject was treated at the scene for a minor injury by Medics and then transported to a local hospital by Officers.This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department.
