Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 27, 2021) – Storm chances increase on Wednesday during the afternoon and evening, fueled by high heat and humidity, as temperatures will climb near 90. Thunderstorms are likely during the overnight hours on Wednesday into Thursday morning. Some could be strong to severe, with the timing beginning at 11 PM EDT Wednesday continuing into Thursday morning. There is medium confidence in severe weather occurring, with low confidence on the exact track and timing of storms. The primary threats are damaging wind gusts of 60 MPH or greater and frequent lightning. Heavy rain is also possible, which could lead to flash flooding.
