Showers and thunderstorms to diminishing after midnight
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 30, 2021) – Showers and thunderstorms are expected to persist into the overnight hours before diminishing after midnight. While severe weather is not anticipated, storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall which could lead to flooding, especially in areas which have received heavy rain over the past couple of days. As skies clear late tonight, patchy fog may develop.
Thursday will see another round of showers and thunderstorms which will also be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall. Thursday night, the pattern shifts to bring cooler and lower precip chances to the isolated category.
During the transition period, Thursday through Friday, northerly winds over southeaster Lake Michigan will result in dangerous swimming conditions. If you’re planning to travel to the beach on either of these days, you should avoid going into the water. Conditions for the holiday weekend continue to look mostly dry with highs in the 80s.
