Fort Wayne Fire Department incident report on a house fire on Aurora Knoll Lane.

Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 29, 2021) – Fort Wayne Fire Department crews were dispatched to a possible house fire in the 800 block of Aurora Knoll Lane. The first crews on the scene reported smoke showing from the front of the house. Firefighters pulled a line into the structure to extinguish the fire and search for occupants. The fire was extinguished and placed under control in about 12 minutes.

Fire investigators were called to determine the cause of the fire which remains under investigation at this time.

No human injuries were reported; however, one cat perished while three dogs and 18 lizards survived.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, NIPSCO, Indiana Michigan Power, and the Red Cross.
