Apartment fire, Cheviot Drive
Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 7, 2021) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a structure fire report in the 3500 block of Cheviot Drive at 1:19 pm. The first firefighters arrived on the scene and found a fire on the exterior patio of an apartment building that had extended to the second floor and attic. The crew entered the building to extinguish the fire and check for occupants. Other crews arrived to assist with fire control.
All occupants had evacuated before the department arrived and no injuries were reported. The fire, which was brought under control in 21 minutes, is under investigation.
