Snow diminishes, but very dangerous travel conditions persist
North winds gusting to around 25 mph will create blowing and drifting snow and dangerous travel conditions this morning

Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 16, 2021) – Snow will continue to diminish in intensity for the remainder of the overnight hours. Some areas may receive 1 to 2 inches of additional accumulation before the accumulating snow comes to an end toward daybreak. The combination of the heavy snow of the past 12 hours and north winds gusting to 25 mph will continue to create very dangerous travel conditions across the area. Avoid travel for the remainder of the overnight if you do not have to venture out. Hazardous conditions will persist through the morning commute as north winds will continue to gust to 20 to 25 through 9 am ET resulting in continued blowing and drifting concerns.
