House fire, Rutland Lane
(December 12, 2020) – A homeowner woke up this morning to find her attached garage heavily involved in fire. She escaped with her dog and called 911, advising Communications that all occupants were safely out of the home.
FWFD units arrived 4 minutes later to find flames through the roof of the garage. Crews battled heavy fire, collapsing roof lines flames from the gas meter and a downed power line to save much of the rest of the home.
Fire crews were assisted by FWPD, TRAA, NCE, Ft Wayne water Dept., AEP and NIPSCO.
