House fire, Bandon Drive
(December 9, 2020) – Engine 8 arrived on scene to find a large amount of black smoke coming fromthe roof of a one story home. Fire crews entered the attic of the home to extinguish the fire while a truck crew ventilated the roof to release the heat and steam. A search was completed and nothing was found. The fire was mostly above the garage. Crews removed the contents of the garage and covered them with tarps. Overhaul of the attic area was completed and all hidden fire was extinguished.
FWPD, TRAA, NCE, AEP, NIPSCO, and Red Cross also assisted at the scene.
