On Wednesday, 12/02/2020, at approximately 4:01 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Ridgewood Drive reference gunshots being fired in the area. Several callers informed dispatch they heard multiple gunshots. Dispatch received another call indicating a subject had been shot. Officers arrived and located the male/adult victim lying outside of an apartment building. Officers observed the victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
