(May 8, 2020) – The Parkview Safety Store, 1818 Carew St., Suite 140, Fort Wayne, will reopen on Tuesday, May 12. Open to the public every Tuesday from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m., the store offers a variety of safety gear, including bicycle helmets that are properly fitted for adults and children.

In honor of Bicycle Safety Month, helmets will be on sale for just $8 throughout the months of May and June. Additionally, cyclists are reminded that public health guidance for COVID-19 still applies when riding in outdoor public spaces.

“As we’re getting back on track and you’re riding your bike, remember that helmets save lives,” said Lisa Hollister, director of trauma and acute surgery, Parkview Trauma Services. “Safety is still critical to ensure everyone has a good ride. When you’re using a trail with others, pull over to safely pass and maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, and wear a face mask if possible.”
