FWCS Submits Continuous Learning Plan
(April 17, 2020) – Today, FWCS turned in its Continuous Learning Plan to the Indiana Department of Education and posted it at www.fortwayneschools.org/covid19. Below are two of the key areas addressed.
Continuous Learning
This plan outlines the work FWCS started after spring break using the PowerSchool Learning Management System with teachers reaching out in various ways to students and their families. FWCS is using a blended remote learning model, which takes advantage of the online system while recognizing many families don’t have access to that technology. For those students, FWCS is in the process of developing learning packets to be distributed soon.Calendar
The last day of school for FWCS students remains Thursday, May 28, 2020. Students are expected to participate in the learning opportunities provided by whatever means possible, whether it is online, using the learning packets or at-home learning with support from teachers and parents.
