Severe storm potential this evening and early Friday



  • Shifted slightly south


  • 10pm to 4am


  • Isolated damaging wind gusts
  • Isolated weak tornado possible

(March 19, 2020) – A frontal system will bring a couple rounds of showers and storms. One round late this afternoon will be followed by a second round later in the evening into the overnight hours – between 10 PM and 4 AM EDT. There is the potential for this second area of storms to be strong to severe, especially across northern Indiana later tonight. The storms will be moving at speeds up to 60 mph and this will increase the threat of isolated, straight-line damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph. Isolated weak tornadoes are possible.
