Turnstone temporarily suspends Childcare Program

News release from Turstone:

Turnstone Center Temporarily Suspends Inclusive Childcare Program – Effective March 19, 2020

(March 18, 2020) – After a 48-hour evaluation of Turnstone’s Kimbrough Early Learning Center, the childcare program will be temporarily suspended, joining Turnstone’s other programming and services that were closed earlier in the week in response to COVID-19 developments throughout the community and nation. Turnstone’s programs and services will be closed until at least March 31, 2020.

“In this unprecedented health crisis we will continue to put the health of our clients, staff and community first,” said Mike Mushett, Turnstone CEO. “During this temporary suspension of programming, we will focus our organizational efforts on providing critical support and expertise as the needs of our community adapt to these evolving circumstances.”

Turnstone will continue to process and respond to inquiries and referrals as a community resource for people with disabilities throughout this community health crisis.

Turnstone’s phone lines will remain open at this time. Questions or concerns may be directed to turnstone@turnstone.org or (260)483-2100. Information and updates will also be posted to www.turnstone.org.

Turnstone leadership will continue to evaluate the situation, heed recommendations from public health officials, and will make a decision to restart programs and services at a later date.
