Cold today, warming temps for weekend
(February 28, 2020) – Some lingering light lake effect snow showers and flurries will affect far northern Indiana and southern Lower Michigan this morning. Otherwise, partly to mostly cloudy skies can be expected today with just a chance of some afternoon flurries across northwest Indiana south of Route 30 as a weak system dives south of the area. After early morning wind chills of zero to 10 above zero, high temperatures this afternoon will reach into the mid 20s. Cold conditions will persist tonight with lows dropping to around 10 and wind chills of 5 below to 5 above zero early Saturday morning. The weekend will feature dry conditions through Sunday with a moderating temperature trend. Along with the moderating temperatures will come increasing chances of rain for Sunday night and Monday.
