…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ THIS EVENING…

WHAT…Snow expected with brief heavy snowfall. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with the greatest accumulations expected roughly along and east of Interstate 69 and north of US Highway 24. South wind gusts up to 25 to 30 mph are also expected through late afternoon.

WHERE…Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.

WHEN…Until 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ this evening.

IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Periods of moderate to briefly heavy snow will significantly reduce visibilities.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Bands of moderate to briefly heavy snow are expected to continue to overspread the remainder of northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio, and south central Lower Michigan through early evening. Visibilities within these bands are expected to become significantly restricted. At any given location, this potential of moderate snow will last for a 2 to 4 hour period. Snowfall rates late this afternoon into early this evening may approach 1 inch per hour for a brief time.
