Today’s weather story from the National Weather Service:
(February 3, 2020) – We’ll be on the seasonal roller coaster this week, with spring-like weather today into Tuesday morning transitioning to winter by Tuesday afternoon. Expect increasing cloud cover today, with highs ranging from the mid 40s to the upper 50s, warmest south. Rain chances will increase overnight into Tuesday morning, with morning high temperatures in the mid 30s and 40s. Temps will fall into the low 30s through the rest of the day, causing the rain to gradually transition to a wintry mix from north to south during the late afternoon and evening hours. It will be all snow by late Tuesday evening. There may be a brief period of freezing rain and sleet, especially along and south of US 24. Light snow and ice accumulations are possible, which could make for a slick evening commute. Additional snow is possible Wednesday and Thursday, with light accumulations expected.
