The Homicide Division and other divisions of the Fort Wayne Police Department have been working tirelessly on the recent shootings and homicides that have plagued our city. Yesterday through today, at 5:00 am, they have been working and tracking down leads, serving search warrants and making arrests. An arrest of a juvenile has been made in the homicide on Fox Point Trail in December.

As of last night Detectives have taken six handguns and one rifle off the street and are making headway in recent homicides and also the shooting of the 13 year old on Monday night. They are currently developing solid leads on person(s) of interest in these serious crimes.

While serving one of the search warrants detectives found one of the handguns and a rifle seized in the possession of a convicted felon. He was arrested for Possession of a Gun by a Serious Violent Felon and is awaiting arraignment at the Allen County Jail. Expect more arrests soon.
